Niobe

The story of queen Niobe

Once in a royal Ceremony, Queen Niobe, in a fit of arrogance boasted about how she was a better mother than Leto, my mother, because she had given birth to fourteen kids. Obviously, I couldn’t tolerate anything said to my mother. Me and my twin sister Artemis slayed all fourteen of her children. Niobe approached my father, Zeus, to ask for forgiveness, to save her last child but even my father couldn’t save her child. She begged Zeus to turn her into stone so she wouldn’t have to feel the pain.
